Fed: Credit card debt hits another record high, RBA data shows

CANBERRA, Jan 14 AAP - Credit card debt hit record highs in November as consumers swipedthe plastic to pay for Christmas presents, official figures showed today.
Reserve Bank of Australia data showed customers put $8.3 billion worth of purchaseson their credit cards in November, slightly down on the October total.
But total credit card debt, including cash advances, jumped $417 million to a new highof $22.37 billion, increasing by almost $3 billion in just 12 months.
