Musburger a pinch hit in WGN broadcast booth

No holy cows. No names pronounced backward. No salutations tothe visiting McKenzies of Sandwich, Ill.

But the WGN broadcast team fared well yesterday, its first daywithout Harry Caray. Leadoff stand-in Brent Musburger said he "wouldhave liked a closer game," but was pleased with the way his day went.

"The best thing I can have is a good ball game," the CBSbroadcaster said. "Frequently you're no better than the event, butit went well. The only thing better would have been a closer lastthree innings."
