Vic: Job seekers urged to apply for convention centre positions

MELBOURNE, Feb 23 AAP - Struggling Victorian job seekers are being urged to apply for
positions at the new Melbourne Convention Centre.

More than 220 jobs, from service staff to executive management, have been created at
the centre's Hilton hotel.

Applications for 40 positions have opened in the latest round of the recruitment drive.

The call has gone out for porters, waiting staff, bar managers, chefs, front office
managers and accountants.
