Nov. 17--SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.--ESPEY MUST FILL AUDIT VACANCY AFTER SHAREHOLDER REVOLT: Espey Manufacturing & Electronics Corp. said it will move quickly to place a new outside director at the head of its Auditing Committee, after the surprise purge of two directors at the company's annual meeting Thursday.

Paul J. Corr, a certified public accountant and professor of business at Skidmore College, who had chaired the committee, lost in a vote called by a shareholder.

Shareholders also voted off the board Vermont attorney Michael W. Wool. Director and former company Vice President William P. Greene survived.
